Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Talje Knights (1-4) were outscored by eighth ranked Malbas (3-2) in Malmo 78-58 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 42-20 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Malbas forced 20 Talje Knights turnovers. Guard Kristoffer Gafor (194-92) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Dwight Bankhead (181-83) contributed with 9 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four Malbas players scored in double figures. Guard Mario Blazevic (180-93) answered with 18 points and 6 assists and guard Sheriff Drammeh (186-96) added 9 points in the effort for Talje Knights. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Malbas moved-up to fourth place in South, which they share with Eskilstuna and Boras II. Loser Talje Knights keep the tenth position with four games lost. Malbas will have a break next round. Talje Knights will play at home against Brahe Basket (#3) in Huskvarna.
