Regular Season Round 6: Rudupis - Neptunas 92-69

Undefeated leader Rudupis delivered the fourth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 8th ranked Neptunas (1-3) 92-69 in Prienai. The game without a history. Rudupis led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Neptunas was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for swingman Gediminas Orelikas (200-90) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Zygimantas Janavicius (192-89, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Four Rudupis players scored in double figures. Center Vytautas Sarakauskas (204-82) replied with 7 points and 10 rebounds and international forward Deividas Gailius (200-88) added 14 points in the effort for Neptunas. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rudupis have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Neptunas at the other side dropped to the ninth place with three games lost. They share the position with Sakalai. Rudupis will play against LSU-Baltai (#8) in Kaunas in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Neptunas will have a break next round.
