Regular Season Round 8: USK Praha - Levice 84-78

Rather predictable result when fourth ranked USK Praha (5-3) won against at home 7th ranked Levice (3-4) 84-78 on Saturday. Levice trailed by 20 points at halftime and as many as 31 after three quarters before a 38-13 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 78-84 at the end of the game. USK Praha shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. The former international center Stanislav Votroubek (212-81) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 8 rebounds. Congolese-French forward Boris Meno (203-83, college: Davidson, agency: Two Points) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four USK Praha players scored in double figures. American forward Jeremy Simmons (204-89, college: Charleston, agency: Interperformances) replied with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Slovenian forward Sinisa Bilic (201-89) added 17 points in the effort for Levice. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. USK Praha maintains fourth position with 5-3 record. Levice lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with four games lost. They share the position with BK Prostejov. USK Praha are looking forward to face B&W Opava (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite.
