Regular Season Round 6: Blois - Rennes 75-68

NM1 top team - Blois (5-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat tenth ranked Union Rennes (2-4) 75-68. Union Rennes was ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 23-13 charge of Blois, which allowed them to win the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Finnish forward Ville Kaunisto (205-82) had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Jonathan Tornato (210-89) chipped in 17 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Blois players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Senegalese guard El Kabir Pene (190-84) with 20 points and forward Omar Sall (195-80) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Union Rennes' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Blois have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-0 record, which they share with Cognac and Souffel. Newly promoted Union Rennes keeps the tenth place with four games lost. Blois will play against Lievin Basket (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Union Rennes will play against Angers BC 49 (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
