The game in Minsk supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Sozh Gomel (3-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Impuls BGUIR (1-2). Sozh Gomel smashed Impuls BGUIR 100-57. The game without a history. Sozh Gomel led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Impuls BGUIR's 30. Sozh Gomel forced 20 Impuls BGUIR turnovers and outrebounded them 48-30 including a 33-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Kiril Sitnik (190-89) who helped to win the game recording 29 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Ukrainian power forward Sergei Miakinin (206-86) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Five Sozh Gomel players scored in double figures. Henadziy Zakhar (198-92) replied with 7 points and 11 rebounds and guard Kiril Volodkin (190-91) added 15 points in the effort for Impuls BGUIR. Impuls BGUIR's coach Fedor Rodenko gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Sozh Gomel maintains second position with 3-1 record having just -1 point less than leader Grodno-93. Impuls BGUIR at the other side keeps the fifth place with two games lost. Sozh Gomel will play against Borisfen (#6) in Mogilev in the next round. Impuls BGUIR will play at home against Rubon in Vitebsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
