Regular Season Round 9: BK Prostejov - Chomutov 104-87

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked BK Prostejov's (4-4) home victory over 9th ranked Levharti Chomutov (2-5) 104-87 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by BK Prostejov. Levharti Chomutov managed to win second period 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BK Prostejov dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Levharti Chomutov's 44. The best player for the winners was naturalized Slovakian Roman Marko (194-86) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Showron Glover (180-87) who recorded 14 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals and swingman Pavel Bosak (192-82) added 20 points respectively. Levharti Chomutov's coach tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. BK Prostejov have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Levice. Loser Levharti Chomutov dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. BK Prostejov will meet higher ranked BC Kolin (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Levharti Chomutov will play against Basketbal Svitavy (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
