Regular Season Round 13: Yamanashi QB - Hitachi Cougars 61-69

Bottom-ranked Yamanashi QB is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 11th consecutive match to eleventh ranked Hitachi Cougars (3-8) 69-61 on Saturday evening. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Hitachi Cougars made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. International forward Mami Yamada (176-88) nailed 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and guard Hiroko Noda (164-83) accounted for 15 points. Power forward Mika Okada (174-87) came up with 23 points and 8 rebounds and forward Honoka Osanai (168-90) added 12 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Yamanashi QB in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Hitachi Cougars. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Ebara Vickies. Yamanashi QB lost their eleventh game in a row. Yamanashi QB at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Hitachi Cougars will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Yamanashi QB will play again against Hitachi Cougars (#9) in Hitachinaka and hopes to get finally their first victory.
