Regular Season Round 10: J.Hradec - B&W Opava 95-84

We should mention about the upset which took place in J.Hradec, where 9th ranked B&W Opava (2-7) lost to twelfth ranked BK Lions Hradec (2-8) in a road game 84-95 on Saturday. The game without a history. BK Lions Hradec led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. BK Lions Hradec outrebounded B&W Opava 41-29 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Roman Zachrla (200-87) scored 33 points (!!!) to lead the charge for the winners and center Jan Tomanec (205-85) chipped in 18 points and 16 rebounds during the contest. Five BK Lions Hradec players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Jakub Blazek (203-80) responded with 22 points and Slovakian center Martin Miklosik (225-86) scored 15 points and 4 blocks. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory BK Lions Hradec went down to thirteenth position due to points difference. Loser B&W Opava dropped to the eleventh place with seven games lost. They share the position with Usti n/Labem. BK Lions Hradec will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. B&W Opava will play against the league's second-placed NH Ostrava (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
