Regular Season Round 4: Ermis Lagkada - Irakleio 88-83

No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Ermis Lagkada (4-0) beat 9th ranked Irakleio (1-3) in Lagadas 88-83 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Irakleio was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Ermis Lagkada made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for power forward Theodoros Georgitsis (205-83) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. Center Giorgos Anagnostopoulos (207-80) contributed with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Montenegrin forward Bojan Pelkic (206-83) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and guard Kostas Agapiadis (185-92) added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Irakleio. Four Irakleio players scored in double figures. Ermis Lagkada have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Newly promoted Irakleio keeps the ninth position with three games lost. Ermis Lagkada will face Koroivos (#4) on the road in the next round. Irakleio will play against the league's leader Filathlitikos (#1).
