Regular Season Round 9: Miami Heat - Brooklyn N. 103-73

The Miami Heat's early-season home dominance continued on Wednesday night, as the defending champs smashed the Brooklyn Nets, 103-73, at American Airlines Arena. The Heat moved to 4-1 overall and 4-0 at home, where they have won by an average margin of nearly 18 points per game. Miami led almost the entire way through, opening up a nine-point lead at halftime before blowing things open in the third quarter. The Heat outscored Brooklyn 29-15 in the third and cruised the rest of the way. LeBron James nearly notched a triple-double, putting up 20 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists in 30 minutes. Dwyane Wade was brilliant as well, scoring 22 points on 10-of-14 shooting. Rashard Lewis scored 13 points off the bench for Miami. Brooklyn lost their second straight game playing without injured starter Gerald Wallace. Kris Humphries had a double-double in the loss, scoring 11 points and pulling down 11 boards.
