Ratiopharm Ulm secured a confident start to their EuroCup campaign. They stunned Cholet Basket in France. Allan Ray netted 25 points for the German team. Ratiopharm Ulm surprised Cholet in the starting quarter. The German team went on a blistering 32:21 run to surge ahead. Ulm maintained the lead throughout the second quarter. The visitors piled up a 51:36 halftime advantage. Ratiopharm Ulm did not give a single chance for Cholet after the big break. The Germans went on a 22:12 rally in the third quarter to boost the gap at 25-point mark. The hosts fired 23 points in the fourth stanza but could not avoid the loss. John Bryant provided 16 points and 12 boards, while Daniel Theis had 12 points for the winners. Cholet answered with 14 points from Terrell Everett. Marcus Goree delivered 12 points in the loss.
