Regular Season Round 9: Triobet - Zanavykas 83-72

There was a minor upset in Jonava where 8th ranked Zanavykas (5-4) was defeated by tenth ranked Triobet (5-4) 83-72 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 29-7 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Triobet dominated on the defensive end, holding Zanavykas to just 7 points in third quarter. They made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game, while Zanavykas only scored eight points from the stripe. They outrebounded Zanavykas 44-24 including 29 on the defensive glass. Zanavykas was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Triobet will face higher ranked Statyba (#3) in Vilnius in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
