There was a minor upset in Warszawa where 7th ranked Novum Lublin (2-3) was defeated by tenth ranked Legia (1-4) 70-65 on Saturday. Novum Lublin was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 15-9 charge of Legia, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 24 Novum Lublin turnovers. Guard Tomasz Jaremkiewicz (189-82) scored 17 points to lead the charge for the winners and center Marcin Nedzi (204-89) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Legia's coach Piotr Bakun allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was power forward Sergiusz Prazmo (205-87) with 22 points and 7 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and point guard Michael Gospodarek (186-91) scored 19 points and 6 assists. Legia left bottom position moving up to eighth place in Group C, which they share with Wisla AWF Kr. Loser Novum Lublin dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Legia will face higher ranked PWiK Piaseczno (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Novum Lublin will play against Pulaski Warka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
