Regular Season Round 4: Sokhumi - Batumi 67-75

Batumi can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Tbilisi, where they defeated Sokhumi (0-3) 75-67 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Batumi especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Nika Ramishvili (179-94) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward Lasha Keshelava (200-81) who added 19 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side center Vakhtang Kadaria (205-89, college: Mineral Area CC) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds and Uzbekistani-Russian guard Ruslan Nazmiev (200-87, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) scored 18 points. Five Batumi and four Sokhumi players scored in double figures. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories. Batumi (1-3) left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with TSU Tbilisi. It was Sokhumi's third loss in a row. They still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Samedicino. Batumi will meet at home higher ranked Kutaisi (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sokhumi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Armia.
