Regular Season Round 15: Ebara Vickies - Denso Iris 44-63

No shocking result in a game in Tokyo where seventh ranked Denso Iris (5-8) smashed 10th ranked Ebara Vickies (3-10) 63-44. The game was mostly controlled by Denso Iris. Ebara Vickies was better in third quarter 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ebara Vickies to just 6 points in first quarter. They outrebounded Ebara Vickies 46-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for international guard Kumiko Oba (169-88) who led the winners and scored 14 points. The former international center Satoko Urashima (180-86) accounted for 6 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Guard Inamoto Satoko (165-84) came up with 17 points and 5 rebounds and forward Kazumi Ogawa (178-86) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Ebara Vickies in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Denso Iris moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Niigata and Toyota B SR. Ebara Vickies lost their ninth game in a row. Newly promoted team keep the tenth position with ten games lost. Denso Iris will have a break next round. Ebara Vickies will play again on the road against Denso Iris (#6) in Kariya.
