Regular Season Round 6: Roanne - Nanterre 94-64
Date: November 10, 2012
Bottom-ranked Chorale de Roanne managed to get a second victory, breaking the two-game losing streak on Saturday night. This time they outleveled fifth-ranked JSF Nanterre 94-64. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 30-point difference suggests that Chorale de Roanne is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of JSF Nanterre. The game without a history. Chorale de Roanne led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 32-of-39 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game, while JSF Nanterre only scored fourteen points from the stripe. Naturalized Ivorian guard Pape-Philippe Amagou (185-85, agency: Beo Basket) scored 16 points and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American-Danish guard Alan Voskuil (191-86, college: Texas Tech) chipped in 20 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American swingman David Lighty (195-88, college: Ohio St.) with 13 points and the former international forward Stephen Brun (202-80) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Five Chorale de Roanne and four JSF Nanterre players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chorale de Roanne (2-4) moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser JSF Nanterre dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with Dijon and Boulazac. Chorale de Roanne will meet higher ranked Strasbourg IG (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. JSF Nanterre will play against Boulazac Basket (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
