Regular Season Round 10: Valosun Brno - USK Praha 72-100

ZBL top team - USK Praha (10-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Valosun Brno (4-6) 100-72. The game was mostly controlled by USK Praha. Valosun Brno managed to win fourth quarter 19-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. USK Praha shot 61.8 percent from the field. USK Praha outrebounded Valosun Brno 39-26 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for USK Praha especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 62.5 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Rebekkah Brunson (191-81, college: Georgetown, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import center Kia Vaughn (193-87, college: Rutgers) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five USK Praha players scored in double figures. USK Praha's coach Natalia Hejkova felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Eva Mrhalkova (175-88) replied with 23 points and American guard Ashleigh Fontenette (172-89, college: Texas) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Valosun Brno. USK Praha have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 10-0 record. Valosun Brno at the other side keeps the seventh place with six games lost. They share the position with Lokomotiva. USK Praha are looking forward to face league's second-placed Sokol Hradec Kralove at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Valosun Brno will play against IMOS Brno (#3) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
