There was a minor upset in Glyfada where 7th ranked Asteras (2-4) was defeated by ninth ranked Ikaros Kalitheas (2-4) 74-59 on Saturday. American center Jasmine Erving (187-90, college: CS Northridge) had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 17 rebounds and 5 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Theoni Tzegianaki (162-85) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists during the contest. Ikaros Kalitheas' coach Giorgos Leivadis used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was center Katerina Glyniadaki (196-86, college: Cal-Riverside) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds and American forward Katerina Deli (168, college: Scranton) scored 14 points and 4 assists. Ikaros Kalitheas moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Asteras and Olympiakos. Ikaros Kalitheas will face Olympiakos (#9) in Athens in the next round.
