Regular Season Round 9: St Quentin - Bordeaux 89-66
Date: November 13, 2012
Not a big story in a game when 17th ranked Bordeaux (1-8) was outscored on the road by ninth ranked Saint-Quentin (5-4) 89-66 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-66. It was a good game for power forward Julien Lesieu (201-83) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. Swingman Kevin Bichard (195-86) contributed with 16 points for the winners. American forward Eric Hicks (198-83, college: Cincinnati, agency: KMG Sports Management) answered with 24 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) and the other American import forward Markel Humphrey (198-87, college: Marshall, agency: Three Eye Sports) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Bordeaux. Bordeaux's coach Jean-Marc Dupraz gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Saint-Quentin moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Bordeaux lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with eight games lost. Saint-Quentin will face Hyeres-Toulon (#17) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bordeaux will play against the league's leader Olympique Antibes where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
