Bottom-ranked Aldast Strakonice managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of five consecutive loses. This time they outleveled eleventh-ranked BK Pliska Studanka 77-51. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 26-point difference suggests that Aldast Strakonice is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. The game without a history. Aldast Strakonice led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to BK Pliska Studanka's 22 and made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Aldast Strakonice forced 25 BK Pliska Studanka turnovers and outrebounded them 37-21 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Shay Selby (175-90, college: Duke, agency: Gamble Sports Management) who led the winners and scored 20 points. Center Zora Jileckova (194-81) accounted for 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Aldast Strakonice's coach Eduard Gaisler felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Marketa Jedlickova (187-94) came up with 14 points and point guard Barbora Habetinkova (168-89) added 8 points respectively for BK Pliska Studanka in the defeat. Aldast Strakonice (2-9) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with DSK Karlin. BK Pliska Studanka at the other side dropped to the bottom position with ten games lost. Aldast Strakonice will play against higher ranked Lokomotiva Karlovy Vary (#7) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BK Pliska Studanka will play against the league's leader USK Praha (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
