Regular Season Round 23: Houston R. - Chicago B. 93-89

Date: November 21, 2012
Looking at the box score this might be the ugliest game of the season. The two teams combined for 37 turnovers to go along with 13 blocked shots. And you know what, watching the game pretty much backs that thought. Houston was able to win tonight because Nate Robinson would not stop shooting the ball. Sure his quick six points early in the fourth allowed the Bulls to get back in this one, but once he hit those he thought he was Reggie Miller, chucking three-pointers for no apparent reason. Would Thibodeau have put Kirk Hinrich back in the result might not have changed, but somebody else would have had to give the game away. Of course, it doesn't help Chicago that Joakim Noah completely disappeared on the offensive end in the fourth quarter. Heck, he didn't score a single point in the second half. He was held in check by Omer Asik for the entirety of the fourth and had the Bulls' best chance at staying alive late blocked by Asik. It seems Chicago is missing Asik a bit, but they're missing Rose more. Houston did do a few things right, however. Patrick Patterson put in a season-high 20 points, Chandler Parsons had a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds and James Harden's 8-14 scoring equated to 28 points. In all it was a sloppy but well-earned win for the Rockets, and a disaster of a game for the Bulls. Their offense can go beyond stagnant at times. Courtesy of: bleacherreport.com
