Regular Season Round 10: Chartres - Rennes 74-64

There was a minor upset when 11th ranked Union Rennes (3-6) lost on the road to fourteenth ranked Chartres (3-6) 74-64 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Chartres. Union Rennes was better in third quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for point guard Julien Sauret (184-81) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian forward Zeljko Bojovic (200-81) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Center Said Ben Driss (206-85) replied with 9 points and 8 rebounds and Senegalese guard El Kabir Pene (190-84) added 14 points in the effort for Union Rennes. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chartres moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Union Rennes. Chartres will have a break next round.
