Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Skopje: Lirija (#5) and Vardar (#7). Lirija (3-2) crushed visiting Vardar (1-4) by 23 points 83-60. The game was mostly controlled by Lirija. Vardar managed to win fourth quarter 16-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Vardar 36-23 including 29 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Montenegrin power forward Balsa Radunovic (207-80, agency: Interperformances) who scored 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Aleksandar Radojevik chipped in 7 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Lirija players scored in double figures. Dragan Kerkez produced 21 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Dejan Lazarevski (192-93) added 10 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lirija have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Vardar keeps the seventh position with four games lost. Lirija will meet Kozuv (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Vardar will play against the league's leader Feni Indistrija (#1) in Kavadarci.
