Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tbilisi: MIA (#1) and Armia (#2). Armia was defeated at home 69-80 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Armia. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 30-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Armia 41-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American center Kirk Archibeque (205-84, college: Fort Lewis) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. The other American import point guard Deonta Vaughn (185-86, college: Cincinnati) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 assists. Four MIA players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international point guard Giorgi Gamqrelidze (183-86, agency: FCM) who recorded 9 points and 7 assists and American forward Lamayn Wilson (204-80, college: Troy) added 16 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MIA (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 6 victories in a row. Defending champion Armia dropped to the fourth place with one game lost. They share the position with Olimpi. MIA's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi .
