The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Energa Czarni (7-3) in Slupsk on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by eleventh ranked Start Gdynia (3-6) 82-68. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Energa Czarni. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 47-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Bosnian-Israeli center Robert Rothbart (217-86, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and guard Grzegorz Mordzak (183-77, agency: Promotex) chipped in 17 points. Start Gdynia's coach David Dedek used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Lithuanian Valdas Dabkus (204-84) with 13 points and 9 rebounds and guard Marcin Dutkiewicz (196-86) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Start Gdynia moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Kotwica and Polpharma. Energa Czarni at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Start Gdynia is looking forward to face higher ranked Anwil (#7) in Wloclawek in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Energa Czarni will play on the road against AZS Koszalin (#4) and is hoping to win this game.
