Important game to mention about took place in Chieti. Ninth ranked Chieti (5-6) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 13th ranked Naturhouse Ferrara (4-7) 65-62 on Sunday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 18-13. But Naturhouse Ferrara won second period 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Chieti won last quarter 15-13. They also forced 20 Naturhouse Ferrara turnovers. Naturhouse Ferrara was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Simone Gatti (202-82) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Naturalized San Marino Andrea Raschi (198-79) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Michele Ferri (191-85) replied with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Michele Benfatto (205-85) added 16 points in the effort for Naturhouse Ferrara. Naturhouse Ferrara's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Chieti moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Naturhouse Ferrara dropped to the twelfth position with seven games lost. Chieti will face Mazzeo San Severo (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Naturhouse Ferrara will play against Latina Basket.
