Important game to mention about took place in Jelgava. Fourth ranked Latvian Jelgava (4-4) saved a 1-point victory at home edging one of their biggest challengers Lithuanian Juventus (3-4) 82-81 in the fight for the third place. Juventus were ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 12-10 charge of Jelgava, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Arturs Duselis (201-89) who helped to win the game recording 20 points. Guard Kristaps Kanbergs (190-88) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Center Karolis Petrukonis (212-87, college: Clemson) replied with 16 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Darrick Leonard (190-84, college: Aurora) added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Juventus. Four Juventus players scored in double figures. Jelgava moved-up to third place which they share with defeated Juventus. Juventus at the other side keep the third position with four games lost. They share it with Valmiera. Jelgava will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Juventus will play at home against Liepaja and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
