The Texas Legends (2-2) boosted their record to 2-0 at home beating the D-League Defending Champion Austin Toros (0-2) 116-109 Thursday night at the Dr Pepper Arena. The Legends, guided by new Head Coach Eduardo Najera, held the lead through most of the night, going up by 21 at one point. The Legends had six players register double-digit scores and went 96.7% in free throws. Chris Douglas-Roberts tallied a game-high 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and went 13-13 at the free-throw line. Chris Roberts totaled 26 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists, while Darius Rice added 12 and grabbed 8 boards. Sean Singletary (11 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals), Christian Eyenga (10 points, 5 rebounds) and Fred House (10 points, 5 assists, 2 steals) rounded out the leader board. The Toros were led in scoring by Tre Kelley (25 points, 4 assists) and Justin Dentmon (21 points, 5 assists).
