An interesting game took place in Jonava where 4th placed Meresta (10-6) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked Triobet (8-7) 92-83. Meresta was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Triobet made 24-of-26 charity shots (92.3 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for forward Martynas Linkevicius (197-85) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Tadas Sebeziovas (183-85) accounted for 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Triobet's coach Kestutis Narusevicius used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Agnius Gurklys (205-88) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and guard Tomas Gaidamavicius (191-82) added 22 points respectively for Meresta in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Triobet moved-up to tenth place. Meresta at the other side dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. Triobet will play against Perlas-MRU (#11) in Vilnius in the next round. Meresta will have a break next round.
