Regular Season Round 12: Bordeaux - Boulogne 93-101

Very expected game when 18th ranked Bordeaux (2-10) was defeated at home by seventh ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (7-5) 101-93 on Friday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Bordeaux won third quarter 29-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SO Maritime Boulogne made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. SO Maritime Boulogne outrebounded Bordeaux 38-22 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was point guard Jonathan Rousselle (188-90) who scored 23 points and 8 assists. American power forward Kurt Cunningham (204-87, college: Boise St.) chipped in 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Thomas Coleman (205-88, college: N.Carolina A&T) who recorded 19 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Markel Humphrey (198-87, college: Marshall, agency: Three Eye Sports) added 21 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bordeaux's coach Jean-Marc Dupraz let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. SO Maritime Boulogne moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Maurienne. Loser Bordeaux stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. SO Maritime Boulogne will face Hyeres-Toulon (#17) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Bordeaux will play against SPO Rouen.
