Regular Season Round 11: Sakalai - Rudupis 61-85

One of the most interesting games of round 11 was a derby match between two teams from Lithuania. The game took place in Vilnius where leader Rudupis outleveled host Sakalai (4-4) 85-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Sakalai. The game without a history. Rudupis led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great evening for guard Zygimantas Janavicius (192-89, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 8 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Arnas Labuckas (203-87) helped adding 14 points. Rudupis' coach Virginijus Seskus felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jokubas Gintvainis (191-94) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and forward Justas Sinica (203-85) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Rudupis (9-0) have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 9 victories in a row. Sakalai at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with Jelgava and Juventus. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
