Regular Season Round 14: Brandon - TWU 73-75

The most interesting game of round 14 in the CIS was only two-point a home defeat of 8th ranked Bobcats (2-8) to seventh ranked Spartans (3-7) 75-73 in the game for the sixth place. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 25-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Spartans outrebounded Bobcats 55-43 including a 23-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. 29 personal fouls committed by Bobcats helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Justin Bakuteka (183) scored 25 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Mark Perrin chipped in 18 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Spartans' coach Scott Allen used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Ali-Mounir Benabdelhak (201) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and forward Jordan Reaves produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Spartans moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Regina. Bobcats lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Mount Royal. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
