Regular Season Round 11: CFBB - Sorgues 59-97

Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-10) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their tenth consecutive match to eighth ranked Sorgues (5-4) 97-59. The game without a history. Sorgues led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to CFBB's 32 and made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Sorgues forced 19 CFBB turnovers and outrebounded them 46-28 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American-Italian swingman Ryan Zamroz (192-87, college: Master's) who led the winners and scored 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Julien Doreau (200-83) accounted for 14 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Five Sorgues players scored in double figures. Damien Inglis (203-95) came up with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Stephane Gombauld (201-97) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively for CFBB in the defeat. CFBB's coach Jacques Commeres gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Sorgues have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place. CFBB at the other side still closes the standings with ten games lost. Sorgues will play against La Rochelle (#8) at home in the next round. CFBB will play against Chartres (#12) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
