Very expected game when 16th ranked Gaziantep (1-7) lost at home to fourth ranked Fenerbahce Ulker (7-1) 86-69 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Fenerbahce Ulker. Gaziantep was better in third quarter 23-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American-FYR Macedonian point guard Bo McCalebb (178-85, college: New Orleans) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). International forward Ilkan Karaman (205-90) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Fenerbahce Ulker's coach Simone Pianigiani used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Joey Dorsey (206-83, college: Memphis, agency: FCM) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Charles Rhodes (203-85, college: Mississippi St.) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Gaziantep. Four Gaziantep players scored in double figures. Fenerbahce Ulker have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Banvit BK and Anadolu Efes. Gaziantep lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. Fenerbahce Ulker will face Banvit BK (#4) in Balikesir in the next round. Gaziantep will play at home against Turk Telekom (#9) in Ankara.
