Regular Season Round 11: MKS DG - SKK Siedlce 96-66

Very expected game when 13th ranked SKK Siedlce (3-8) was smashed by fifth ranked MKS DG (7-4) in Dabrowa Gornicza 96-66 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by MKS DG. SKK Siedlce managed to win second period 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. MKS DG shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by SKK Siedlce's players. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Grzegorz Grochowski (178-93) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 assists. Forward Michal Woloszyn (202-84) accounted for 18 points for the winning side. MKS DG's coach Wojciech Wieczorek felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. point guard Radoslaw Basinski (188-78) came up with 15 points and 5 assists and power forward Tomasz Deja (200-83) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for SKK Siedlce in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. MKS DG moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sokol Lancut and MOSiR Krosno. SKK Siedlce lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the fourteenth position with eight games lost. They share it with UMKS Kielce. MKS DG will meet Sokol Lancut (#6) on the road in the next round. SKK Siedlce will play against Znicz Basket (#10) in Pruszkow and hope to secure a win.
