Regular Season Round 15: J.Hradec - BC Kolin 88-79

Bottom-ranked BK Lions Hradec managed to get the second consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they won against fourth-ranked BC Kolin in J.Hradec 88-79. BC Kolin trailed by 18 points after 3 quarters before a 34-25 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 79-88 at the end of the game. They outrebounded BC Kolin 45-30 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for center Jan Tomanec (205-85) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Roman Zachrla (200-87) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winners. BK Lions Hradec's coach Karel Forejt used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Puerto Rican point guard Javier Gonzalez (182-89, college: N.Carolina St.) answered with 28 points and 4 assists and American forward Richard Field (196-85, college: Mercyhurst) added 8 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for BC Kolin. BK Lions Hradec (4-11) moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Svitavy. BC Kolin at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. BK Lions Hradec is looking forward to face league's leader CEZ Nymburk on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BC Kolin will play against the league's second-placed NH Ostrava (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
