The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Albacomp as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Albacomp defeated 4th placed Falco-Szova in Szekesfehervar 83-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Falco-Szova. Falco-Szova was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Falco-Szova was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American guard Brandon Wood (187-89, college: Michigan St., agency: N.E.T.) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points. His fellow American import point guard Ronald Moore (183-88, college: Siena) helped adding 8 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. American power forward Michael Fey (213-83, college: UCLA) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian forward Tomislav Ivosev (204-90) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Falco-Szova players scored in double figures. Falco-Szova's coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Falco-Szova at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with Soproni. Falco-Szova will play next round against Soproni trying to get back on the winning streak. Albacomp will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked ZTE KK at Zalaegerszeg.
