Rather expected game in Vilnius where 6th ranked Estonian Tln Kalev (1-8) was rolled over by fourth ranked Lithuanian Sakalai (5-5) 108-66 on Friday. The game without a history. Sakalai led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Sakalai outrebounded Tln Kalev 40-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Sakalai especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Paulius Dambrauskas (191-91) fired 19 points and 6 assists for the winners. Center Edvinas Jezukevicius (207-90) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds. Four Sakalai players scored in double figures. Nigerian-American forward Ike Okoye (206, college: Boise St.) produced 15 points and 9 rebounds and American-Italian guard Marc Campbell (180-86, college: N.Carolina) added 13 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Tln Kalev's coach Kalle Klandorf gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Sakalai moved-up to third place. Tln Kalev lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. Sakalai will have a break next round. Tln Kalev will play on the road against Barons kvartals (#4) in Riga and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
