Regular Season Round 12: Eos - Talje 114-101

Basketettan top team - IK Eos (12-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat eighth ranked Talje Knights (4-6) in Lund 114-101. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Talje Knights. The game was mostly controlled by IK Eos. Talje Knights managed to win fourth quarter 34-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. IK Eos shot 62.5 percent from the field. They also forced 20 Talje Knights turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Adnan Karovic (187-88) who scored 17 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. Center David Hult (204-89) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. IK Eos' coach Axel Wallin used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Filip Kovacek (182-95) who recorded 25 points and 6 assists and guard Mario Blazevic (180-93) added 20 points and 5 assists respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. IK Eos have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position in South with 12-0 record. Loser Talje Knights dropped to the tenth place with six games lost. IK Eos will meet league's second-placed Malbas in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Talje Knights will play against Hogsbo (#9) in Goteborg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
