Rather predictable result when second ranked Lithuanian Siauliai (8-2) rolled over on the road 6th ranked Estonian Rapla (1-9) 100-76 on Saturday. The game without a history. Siauliai led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Siauliai outrebounded Rapla 43-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. Rapla was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Saulius Kuzminskas (210-82, college: California) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Laurynas Samenas (192-88) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Siauliai players scored in double figures. point guard Rait-Riivo Laane (178-93) replied with 20 points and 5 assists and forward Andre Parn (202-77) added 15 points in the effort for Rapla. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Siauliai have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 8-2 record having just two points less than leader Pieno Zvaigzdes, which they share with Lietkabelis. Rapla lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with nine games lost.
