Regular Season Round 17: Tulsa 66ers - Iowa E. 104-91

Date: December 21, 2012
The Tulsa 66ers took down the Iowa Energy, 104-91, on Friday night at the SpiritBank Event Center behind Oklahoma City Thunder assignee Reggie Jackson's 27 points, nine assists and seven rebounds. Fellow assignee Perry Jones collected a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds alongside DeAndre Liggins' 14 points and 7 rebounds. After shooting 16-for-42 (.381) in the first half and leading 42-38 at the break, the 66ers (7-3) outscored the Energy (2-6) 34-20 in the third quarter by going 14-for-19 (.737) from the field. Tulsa made 22 of its first 29 shots after halftime, fueled by 17 second-half points from Jackson. "I thought we had a pretty good first half," said Tulsa Head Coach Darko Rajakovic. "We were unfortunately missing open shots and easy shots in transition. I just asked our guys to be more focused and to bring the same energy with much better focus on the offensive end and much better execution. To set screens, use screens and just play together. In the start of the third quarter they did exactly what we asked them to do." Six Tulsa players scored in double figures and 11 of the 12 66ers scored at least one point. The 66ers dished out 22 assists and outrebounded the Energy, 42-37. Tulsa forced 20 Iowa turnovers, including a season-best 14 steals. Andy Rautins and Dominique Sutton each recorded four steals.
