Regular Season Round 15: MBC - LTi 46ers 93-88
Date: December 26, 2012
Not a big story in a game in Weissenfels where 17th ranked LTi 46ers (4-11) were defeated by fifteenth ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (6-9) 93-88. Strangely LTi 46ers outrebounded Mitteldeutscher BC 38-24 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American guard Chad Timberlake (194-84, college: Fair Dickinson) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 assists. His fellow American import forward Devin Uskoski (201-85, college: Rocky Mountain) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Mitteldeutscher BC's coach Silvano Poropat allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Bosnian power forward Elvir Ovcina (212-76, college: Syracuse, agency: Interperformances) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Ryan Brooks (193-88, college: Temple, agency: Pro One Sports) added 20 points in the effort for LTi 46ers. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mitteldeutscher BC moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with NY Phantoms and Bayreuth. LTi 46ers at the other side keep the seventeenth position with 11 games lost. Mitteldeutscher BC's next round opponent will be higher ranked TBB Trier (#7) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. LTi 46ers will play against the league's second-placed EWE Baskets (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
