The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (13-4) on the court of tenth ranked Fos Ouest on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Fos Ouest 95-73. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Pau-Lacq-Orthez. The game without a history. Fos Ouest led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Fos Ouest forced 22 Pau-Lacq-Orthez turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Pau-Lacq-Orthez helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American power forward John Williamson (199-86, college: Cincinnati) stepped up and scored 16 points for the winners and forward Aurelien Toto N'Kote (194-79) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Five Fos Ouest players scored in double figures. David Denave (195-85) responded with 16 points and 4 assists and Spanish point guard Ignacio Ordin (183-78) scored 12 points. Fos Ouest (9-8) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Pau-Lacq-Orthez at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. They share it with Antibes. Fos Ouest is looking forward to face league's second-placed Olympique Antibes at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will play against Charleville-Mezieres and is hoping to win this game.
