Regular Season Round 11: Netanya - Hapoel Holon 72-70

Tenth-ranked Hapoel Holon (3-8) gave a tough game to fourth ranked GreenTops Netanya (7-4) on Sunday. GreenTops Netanya managed to secure only two-point victory 72-70. However their fans expected much easier game. Hapoel Holon was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. GreenTops Netanya had a 33-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. It was a great evening for power forward Marco Killingsworth (203-82, college: Indiana, agency: Avi Zilberman) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. Swingman Deron Washington (201-85, college: Virginia Tech) helped adding 13 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Frank Hassell (203-88, college: ODU) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks and forward Tyler Smith (201-86, college: Tennessee) scored 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four GreenTops Netanya and five Hapoel Holon players scored in double figures. GreenTops Netanya moved-up to third place, which they share with Hapoel Eilat. Hapoel Holon lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the tenth position with eight games lost. GreenTops Netanya will face bottom-ranked Maccabi Ashdod (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel Holon will play against the league's second-placed Maccabi Haifa.
