Carmelo Anthony scored a game-high 23 points as the New York Knicks snapped the San Antonio Spurs’ seven-game winning streak in the National Basketball Association. The Knicks won 100-83 last night at Madison Square Garden in New York to lead the Eastern Conference’s five-team Atlantic Division with a 22-10 record, five games ahead of the Brooklyn Nets. The Spurs (26-9) hold a three-game advantage over the Memphis Grizzlies atop the Western Conference’s Southwest Division. J.R. Smith came off the bench to score 20 points for the Knicks, Steve Novak had 15 points and Amar’e Stoudemire contributed 10. Tyson Chandler added 10 points and 14 rebounds.
