Regular Season Round 15: CFBB - Challans 55-83

Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-13) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 83-55 loss to fifteenth ranked Vendee Challans (4-9) in Paris on Saturday evening. The game without a history. Vendee Challans led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great evening for forward Fabien Herard (198-79) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Center Nils Gouacide (208-84) helped adding 23 points. The best for the losing side was Ywen Smock (203-96) with 12 points and Damien Inglis (203-95) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. CFBB's coach Jacques Commeres gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Vendee Challans moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser CFBB still closes the standings with 13 games lost. Vendee Challans will meet at home higher ranked Monaco (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. CFBB will play against La Rochelle (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
