Regular Season Round 18: Torino - Latina Basket 86-68

Leader Torino delivered the thirteenth victory. This time they beat 17th ranked Latina Basket (5-12) 86-68. The game was mostly controlled by Torino. Latina Basket was better in fourth quarter 23-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for naturalized Polish power forward Jakub Wojciechowski (210-90) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Claudio Tommasini (190-91) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Tommaso Plateo (191-78) replied with 13 points and forward Filippo Gagliardo (206-78) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Latina Basket. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Torino maintains first position with 13-3 record. Latina Basket lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighteenth place with 12 games lost. Torino will play against Recanati (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Latina Basket will play against Bari (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
