Regular Season Round 13: Malbas - Eos 73-81

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Malmo. Leader IK Eos faced their biggest opponent Malbas. Guests from Lund (13-0) defeated host Malbas (8-5) 81-73. Malbas were ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 44-31 second half run of IK Eos. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Gustav Nystrom (189-89, college: Hope) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Adnan Karovic (187-88) contributed with 23 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Kosovan power forward Korab Ferizi (201-85) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and American point guard Dwight Bankhead (181-83) added 12 points and 6 assists in the effort for Malbas. Five Malbas players scored in double figures. The victory was the thirteenth consecutive win for IK Eos. They maintain first place in South with 13-0 record. Malbas lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. IK Eos will play against Brahe Basket (#3) in Huskvarna in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Malbas will play on the road against Hogsbo in Goteborg and hope to get back on the winning track.
