1Liga top team - Slask Wroclaw (17-1) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat seventh ranked Polonia (9-9) in Przemysl 86-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Polonia. The game without a history. Slask Wroclaw led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They outrebounded Polonia 37-22 including 28 on the defensive glass. Slask Wroclaw shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. The former international forward Radoslaw Hyzy (203-77) notched 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and center Krzysztof Sulima (202-90) supported him with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Slask Wroclaw's coach Jerzy Chudeusz used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Even 25 points by guard Grzegorz Plocica (190-80) did not help to save the game for Polonia. point guard Michal Musijowski (180-89) added 11 points and 7 assists. Four Polonia players scored in double figures. Slask Wroclaw have an impressive 17-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-1 record. Loser Polonia dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. Slask Wroclaw will meet Stal Ostrow (#4) in the next round. Polonia will play against the league's second-placed AZS Kutno (#2) and hope to secure a win.
