Very expected game in Malaga where 8th ranked Palma (4-8) was defeated by fourth ranked Clinicas Rincon (8-4) 66-61. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-11. But Palma won third quarter 17-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Palma 49-33 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. 29 personal fouls committed by Palma helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a very good performance for Bosnian-Serbian forward Dejan Todorovic (-94) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Luis Conde (193-93) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Gabriel Torres (198-89) answered with 17 points and 9 rebounds and forward Ivan Matemalas (193-80) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Palma. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Clinicas Rincon moved-up to third place. Palma lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. Clinicas Rincon's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked La Palma (#11) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Palma will play against the league's second-placed Oviedo CB.
